Currently Watching: December 2012

It's currently Winter Break and I just noticed I don't have any posts for December whatsoever. So here goes. Like everything else, nothing interests me that much to keep me intrigued and finish it. I'd be lying if I said I'm not watching it because of Huang Xiao Ming.

Before I get to my thoughts on it, I'll do a little recap on the other things I've watched this month.

The Ones That Are The Most Flawed Are The Ones Worth Loving

So you guys are probably thinking what the heck am I talking about right? Well you know those characters who start off bad then turn good for the girl and end up not getting the girl? No wonder why they went back to being bad. This situation doesn't apply to everything, but those situations are really the most heartbreaking.

These characters often seems to have it all, but there's more than whats shown on the outside. These guys are, in my opinion, the one's who deserve the girl. They start off bad, turn are better than the lead, don't get the girl and die, more often than not.

Why can't they just ever get the girl for once?
This post will be dedicated to these kind of characters.

Missing You: Initial Thoughts and Reactions

So it is official that I have jumped on the Missing You bandwagon. For someone who isn't that into Korean dramas, this one seems slightly different.

A story about a pair of teenage lovers who split up after an untimely, and I mean untimely, accident, years later the girl becomes an amateur fashion designer and the guy is a hard core detective. Will this story have revenge, love, compassion, lust, hatred, probably all but one I can be sure of is a lot of tears from both our actors and actresses and us the dramajunkies.

Infernal Lover: Songs and Thoughts

Random _________,(not sure what to call it yet) but I was listening to the beautiful ending song and as always I read the comments and I DIED, on the inside. Why? This stupid person posted the ending, THE F**K? Why did they do that??!!!! I'm only on episode three. I literally screamed and now I currently want to throw and break something. WTF?!?!?!?!? to that stupid youtuber who posted the end, PajCi92,
I HATE YOU.

That isn't even going harsh, trust me I can do worst. I'm not one who likes spoilers, thats why I couldn't enjoy Chinese Paladin as much. Anyways back on subject. The songs for this soundtrack is very beautiful. I think the ending song sounds like rain, soothing and hits high points perfectly. Definitely one of those songs I would listen to to go to sleep.

Infernal Love: Episode 2 Summary/ Recap

Are you prepared for a lot of gasping and oohs and aaahhs? This is a really good episode netizens.

I present to you Episode 2 of Infernal Lover.

Non-Asian Drama Related: Barney Confesses His Love For Robin

I like how the two females aren't wearing heels/shoes

I know this is primarily a place for Asian Dramas, but I tend to have quite a few American shows I love, How I Met Your Mother being my favorite.

You know when you truly love someone and it kills you to see them with someone else? Well in the newest episode yesterday, our very own Barney Stinson put those feelings into words that perfectly describes it.

Random Thought: Palace Related Dramas

How many palace dramas are there?
How many are filmed a year?

First off, this blogpost has no importance whatsoever.
I was reading a post off A Virtual Voyage :http://www.avirtualvoyage.net/2012/11/a-promising-start-the-confidant-episode-1-5.html#more-7649 and as I was watching this, Of course I would think about BBJX and ewww....Gong. It hit me, does drama companies and such have allotted time for when they can use the different palaces for filming? Because there are a lot of period dramas in one year and not everyone can be filming at the same time; unless maybe they do film at the same time but they can't run to different sets.

I don't know. It was just a random thought I felt was necessary to put down.

Speaking of palace related dramas, the post from a virtual voyage, it sounds interesting but definitely not something I would be interested in, maybe my mom though.

Anticipation: Happiness of an Angel

My head has been so wrapped around school that I forgot about this drama, sigh. I heard about it from my sister maybe, I don't know.

Happiness of an Angel is a remake of the popular Korean drama Thank You. This is the first time that these two actors/actresses worked together so it will be very interesting to see the turnout.

Jay Chou: Qing Hua Ci Stills, Summary, and Commentary

So what does Jay Chou and a porcelain piece of art have to do with a drama one will ask? Well If his music video was so good and you actually thought it was from an actual drama when you first saw it, then it counts.

From one of his videos Qing Hua Ci or Blue and White Porcelain.

Pretty Girls in Pretty Ancient Clothing Part V: Liu Yi Fei in The Assassins

How can I not have a post specifically for Liu Yi Fei? She's probably one of my most favorite Chinese Actresses of all time.

In her latest film, The Assassins, that just came out roughly two months ago, she shined.

Pretty Girls in Pretty Ancient Clothing Part IV: Annie Yi in The Assassins

Thats her on the left, she really is beautiful and the clothes suit her very well. Even though I find her to be a minor in the movie, what really stood out to me was her gorgeous clothes and hair.

Pretty Girls In Pretty Ancient Clothing Part III: Battle of Red

For anyone who doesn't know, there is a show in the US called Fashion Police hosted by Joan Rivers. It is quite amusing and very good time killer where fashion experts judge celebrities best and worst outfits. Besides the best and worst parts, they always have a segment called "Bitch Stole My Look" which brought us all here today.

Based on the title, it is quite obviously that the contestants will be wearing red so BRING IT.

Who will win the epic battle?
Gong Li
Ady An
Liu Yi Fei

Reminiscence: Chinese Paladin

Well I found a video like that for Chinese Paladin. Here comes the tears.

Infernal Love: Episode 1 Summary/ Recap

Congrats to you all. Today is Election day where I live, so that means no school for me yay. I started this, believing it was simple and didn't need much work to do and boy was I WRONG. I started yesterday at around four and with all the breaks and distractions, I am finally able to start posting, but of course there is more. My internet won't stop crashing on me so it is literally taking ten times as long to do everything.

Anyways, after that rant I wanted to tell you guys I have decided to start the process of doing recaps on all the episode since I think this would be a good one to do.

A recap is well, a recap. After I watch the episode, I will take pictures from the episode and write what happens. So far, for me, each episode has at least 120 pictures. I only did two episodes and there is around thirty leading me to think I shouldn't go on, but since I've started it, I must finish it. So here my fellow netizens, Episode 1 of Infernal Lover.

And I give much respect to Koala's Playground who did the same thing, but for BBJX and others.

Anticipation/ Interest: Infernal Lover Cast and Stuff

So I was wandering around the internet world of dramas and such and I stumbled upon this. Seems pretty interesting. Another Pre-modern Drama for me, well after I finish my other dramas. Too much reading lately. But this is called Infernal Lover, a story about four people who gets sucked into the secret plan of selling the country.

Too Late To Say I Love You: Cast, Analysis, Commentary

I've finally did it. Took me almost three months to do it, but I did, BOOYAHH! What did I finally finish you may ask? Well Too Late to Say I Love You.

Anticipation: Saving General Yang

So seriously, how could I forget when this was coming out? I literally flipped out and screamed when I first found out they were making this movie and just stared at everything that was given. I sound like a creep but I could care less because this is something worth stalking. I first found out when I was looking under Ady An's Dramawiki page because she seem's to be MIA recently then BAMM!! this was under it. Thank the movie gods and ,somewhat, SARFT for finally approving something worth watching.

Pretty Girls in Pretty Ancient Clothes Part II: White Vengeance

\
In my previous post, did anyone notice that there was nothing female related? Well this is why.

In a production with 99% men, that only means there is a beautiful creature playing possible the only female lead. Who else better than the Goddess? or Liu Yi Fei.

Movies: White Vengeance- Characters and Review

A good manly man movie to watch, in a sense. Note this is an opinion of a female, it is more into politics and barely touches into the romantic aspects that something might have. A movie that goes on about the fight over power.

After the death of the first Qin Emperor, Qin Shi Huang Di, there is a despise by King Kuai where whoever can capture the city of Guanzhong can be the emperor. Who will win the battle where only one can live? Liu Bang or Xiang Yu?

Pretty Girls in Pretty Ancient Clothes Part I: Schemes Of A Beauty

So I was reading a post on beauties in ancient clothing so of course first thing that comes to mind is the famous Mei Ren Xin Ji also known as Schemes of A Beauty. So I will start this thing where I will post posts on pretty people. Sounds good enough.

Luan Shi Jia Ren Anticipation

How come every drama I want to watch is either not out yet, or not fully english subbed? One of the dramas that fall under that category is this soon to be Luan Shi Jia Ren.

Down With Love Review

Me and my bad luck with dramas. There seems to be nothing good to watch anymore. As you know of my attempt to watch Down With Love, that failed. Miserably.

Reasons to why:
Well first off, what a crappy cast. The only ones worth watching are the main guy's niece and nephew. they're adorable. Everyone else is just there making the plot long and dry.

Jerry Yan plays a stuckup lawyer. Blah blah blah. He hates kids and thinks that there are no real women out there. There are the golddiggers, the players, the unconfident and so on. And then he falls in love with his nanny. How predictable. The only thing helping him was his hair, not his acting skills (too much facial expressions for my liking).

Ella Chen plays a poor optimistic nanny who can apparently do everything. I'm bored. Maybe because I've watched dramas like this too many time. So what if you're good at cleaning a house and you can change a lightbulb and can cook. I can do all those things too and its really not that hard. I hate when dramas do that, they make it seem like every woman out there can't deal with hard work and house hold related stuff and that there's only one girl who can do that. Well newflash to all of the enterntainment industry, this plot line for the lead actress sucks and is getting old. Her haircut >.< please don't get me started. I hate when girls have hair that short and that one piece that always stick out of her head make me just want to rip off my hair. Me and my OCD.

Kelly Huang who plays as her older sister was a bad actress. Maybe it was the voice. Maybe it was the attitude. Maybe it was the personality. She was such a penny pincher and pusher. I mean its totally fine to be a penny pincher, the economy is getting worse everyday and noone can blame you but seriously, I couldn't stand her.

Chen Zi Han plays as Jerry's onscreen bestfriend who is an interior designer. He also plays as the "good guy" in the lead actress's eye and he also likes her but her sister liked him since she was little but never knew it was him because he never said his name.

This drama was a pain in the ass. It reminded me a lot of a Korean drama, Long and dry with an overused plot. It wasn't funny at all and I hated the way they filmed it. I mean the camera was right in front of their faces. I don't want to see that. Ugh.

This drama gets an F on the report card. I'm pretty sure it didn't get a lot of good ratings when it aired. Just don't watch, such a waste of time.

Should I even bother giving out the Vietnamese name? Here : Anh Da Yeu Em

Remember you have already been forwarned, this drama sucks.

Yes, No, Maybe This Drama

Lets just say this month has been a roller coaster road in trying to look for an interesting drama to watch that has either viet dubbed or english subs. It was to the point where i found the internet boring and it didn't help that my YT subscriptions weren't uploading anything interesting. I was just anticipating for school to start ot was even about to break open one of my summer reading books.I'm not the biggest fan of Korean dramas, so I'll just stick to Mainland China and Taiwan. So here is how this week has been.

New Sprig Of Plum Blossoms

A random thought has crossed my mind about how Sina does spectacular dramas but they're not as noticed as Hunan. Sina seems to have done a spectacular job in this drama called Xin Yi Jian Mei or New Sprig Of Plum Blossom. Sina tends to have a complex and messed up characteristic in their drama that makes them stand out which I love, but my problem with Sina? Its so hard to find any of their drama in Viet Dubbed and I'm going crazy.

Torn Between Two Lovers Review

A drama that is family oriented, shows true meaning behind the words "brothers from another mother", a gripping love complex. This is the one to watch.

Torn Between Two Lovers Character Analysis

I finished PS man a few days ago so i don't have anything to watch, and its hard to find something good to watch, preferably in viet dubbed, so I went to my blogger dashboard and ran upon my drafts which reminded I could just blog so blog is what I will do.

Huan Jun Ming Zhu as what I have posted in my previous blogpost. This one is the cast, not the entire one that i posted but a majority because I'm just too lazy. *note* I intentionally wanted to find them in their costumes but I stumbled on them in modern clothing and they look a lot better.

Torn Between Two Lovers Part 1: Cast and Synopsis

OK so this is like a pretty old drama I've watched a long time ago and one I always remember because it truly is a piece of art at its finest. I decided to watch it recently and it reminded me how great dramas were before SARFT barged in on everything and started annoying laws and such. Since there aren't many reviews or post on this, I decided I wanted to.

Chinese Paladin Review

Honestly If you read the blog post Chinese Paladin: Before, you'd know that I had extremely low expectations for this drama and the only thing saving it was the cast.

Chinese Paladin Ending Rant- SPOILER ALERT

So this is how i basically feel right now. Really sad and depressed because it ended and because of the ending itself. It may sound stupid but I really need a place to rant about the ending or I will probably go ballistic. To sum it all up literally everyone dies except for Xiao Yao and their baby.

Favorite Couple: Chinese Paladin

So my favorite couple in this drama is *DUN DUN DUUUUNNNN*

Chinese Paladin Character Analysis

I just finished Chinese Paladin a little over an hour ago, it wouldn't have to take so long if i had to re-find all the pictures because they all turned out blurry. As always, don't read anything I post unless you've watched it because I tend to blurt out a lot of spoilers. I had to write a review but there are so many things to write about this drama so its gonna be broken up into many blogposts but thats never a bad thing. The first thing i had to do was the characters. In no particular order....

Gong/ Jade Palace Lock Heart Bantering

Gong 1/ Jade Palace Lock Heart 1

So last night I kept thinking of this actor out of nowhere, like always. All I could remember that he was in a drama with Yang Mi. I knew what drama he was in but I didn't remember the name, just to make it easier on myself; So of course, I looked up Yang Mi on Dramawiki. Low and Behold the first thing I saw on her page was Gong 3 and I dropped. So here are my initial thoughts when I saw it.

Chinese Paladin: Before

So since i finished Sunshine Angel and don't exactly feel like going back to Sin or Sealed with a Kiss I've decided to watch the infamous Chinese Paladin. I've decided to do some before and after blog posts for this to compare my thoughts.

Originally, i watched the third one first and that was honestly the worst drama I've probably ever seen, I'm not excited but theres nothing else to watch. If anything, if i get bored I can just blog about some dramas I've already seen, which there are over a hundred, so that won't be difficult. This is a really beautiful cast if i must say so. I mean seriously, Eddie Peng and Liu Yi Fei are in it. The third one had a gorgeous cast because of Tang Yan, Wallace Huo and Liu Shi Shi. I know this is old but I never truly got serious about when stuff came out til recently so everything will be out of wack and such.

Sunshine Angel Thoughts and Comments

Sunny Girl/ Sunshine Angel

I finished Sunshine Angel a couple days ago and i finally had time to write this. Originally I wanted my first blog to be for Fated to Love You but since I just finished this i might as well do it now while it still in my head and what not.

Sunshine Angel, also known as Sunny Girl, or Thien Than Tinh Yeu (in Vietnamese) was a fairly decent drama. while I was watching this, it constantly kept remind me of Zhong Wu Yen and if you watched both you'd understand where I'm going at. I don't blame them, nowadays its hard to think of an original plot because about 95% has already been used up making this drama pretty predictable. Anyways, this movie had beautiful setting, and scenery and a pretty cast. I wonder if this drama was ever popular when it aired Summer 2011.

Hello Bloggernet

July 7, 2012. Yerp. Thats today. the first time i had a blog and may i say it was annoying as H-E-double hockey sticks trying to figure this thing out and personally i still think its not right. Oh well, you can only live and learn.

Since its my first blog ever i thought i might say the reasons why i started this.

  1. My asian parents don't let me do anything so i might as well find something to do this summer while i'm in this house.
  2. I need a place to rant about my feelings about things like my dramas<3, music, movies, and rant about what goes on in my life if i find my sister isn't enough.
I think I might like this. Whether or not this blog will be popular as Jolecole's is fine with me( i hope it does though). I want peoples opinions and see they feel on my thoughts. Well let this begin.

a catchy song for ya ;)
